How To Remove Recent Items In Jumplist

Windows 7 Jumplist One handy feature added to Windows 7 is Jumplist. It is a pop up menu appears when you right click on any application on the taskbar. As usual, it will display recent files opened by the application you right click on. It is quite handy since you can access recent files quickly.

However, in some cases such as you are on a shared computer and don’t want others notice these files. Unfortunately, there is no utility to remove these items automatically at this time but you can do this manually by the command:

del %appdata%\microsoft\windows\recent\automaticdestinations\*

Moreover, you can save this command as an bat file and launch it whenever to want to remove. You can also add this command to Windows schedule to get it remove automatically.
