Most of feed readers now are lack of filter feature which may help you save time by only showing relevant items. You can set keywords to show or block feed items (and many more manipulations with your feed) using Yahoo Pipe or filter your feed smarter with Pheedstorm. Once you set your keywords, it scores the feed items and sorts them by the relevant scores. You can also rate the items so that it can learn your favorite and improve its heuristic. The more you use it, the smarter it can be.
