application to open a file type, but it does not automatically
associate the file type with itself. And even you’ve tried to find the
application name in the Open With
menu, but there’s no name you need there. To fix this problem, you may
add that application yourself or easier using a small utility call OpenExpert.
OpenExpert
is a small and very easy to use utility to manage Open With
menu. Once being installed, it will be automatically integrated into the Open With
menu.
To manage the Open
With menu of a file type, simply right click on any file
of that type, then choose Open With
and Configure OpenExpert.
The list of applications which have associated with that file type will
be shown in a list. Here, you can sort the list by click to choose one
and click the arrow buttons on the bottom left of windows. Or you can
also remove an application by choosing it and click on the button Remove.
To add an application to this list, click on the button Add, then in the new
dialog, just point OpenExpert
the execute file of the application you want, then click OK.
